This is a peculiar and difficult time for many people in our community. Our dynamic has always been a close one, and that continues to be the case whether we gather face to face or not. Praying for one another is one of the most important parts of our worship, and so I encourage you to continue to pray for one another during this time apart. My routine has long included prayer for each of you, and that continues unabated. Consider sending an occasional email or text message to encourage one another — and feel free to reach out to me as well.
If you’re planning to visit us for the first time, here’s a quick list of what you can expect:
Worship begins at 9:00 a.m. and generally lasts one hour.
The sanctuary is accessible through the main door on Pennoyer Street.
Our (handicapped) accessible entrance can be found through the Nursery School doors.
You’ll be welcomed at the door and invited to sit wherever you like.
Dress tends to the informal side, especially during the warm summer months.
We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month (and other special Sundays throughout the year), and all are welcome to participate in the sacrament.
Sunday School (for ages 4-10) meets during the school year, and child care is available year-round.
Following worship, you’ll be invited to join us for coffee hour in our hall.

Parking is available along the right hand side of Pennoyer Street, below Milton Place, or along Rowayton Avenue. We also have a small parking lot accessible off of Milton Place, just past the playground and parsonage.
Our Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, and newly renovated kitchen are available for weddings and other events. To inquire about scheduling and pricing information, click here to send us a message.
We offer quality childcare every Sunday morning during our 9:00 a.m. worship service. Our nursery is staffed by dedicated caregivers and takes place in a child-friendly, nursery space. During the childcare hour, even our youngest learners spend time playing their way through the stories of faith.
Students in grade 3 or higher are invited to participate in our worship life by serving as an acolyte various Sundays throughout the year. Trainings are held periodically for new, interested participants.
Throughout the year, we offer a variety of classes for adults looking for the chance to deepen their faith. Programs and schedule vary season by season. If you’d like to know about what classes are meeting now, email the church office.
We are proud to be the home of the only nationally accredited private nursery school in Norwalk or Darien. Five Mile River Nursery School is one of the flagship ministries of our congregation.
